Field Day Passed, Working on Antennas

Another ARRL Field Day is in the books.  I didn't do much, but I managed to log a couple contacts in the hour I played around on 20m.  Cranked the keyer up to 35wpm to keep up, but had to dial it back down to 20 after I realized the gaps couldn't handle it.  Extra dits all over the place.  Apologies to anyone who tried to figure out what "BI F02FM" was supposed to be.

Dug my old TV rotor out of the storeroom.  The HAM-IV needs rebuilt and won't go up for a while.  I'm choosing to go with a dipole and my 2M beam, which the TV antenna can easily handle.  Maybe a 2m vertical antenna on top of the mast, but probably not.  2m is dead around here and I don't like ragchewing anyway.

Went to the farm store to buy u-bolts for the rotor.  Of course they didn't have any.  Not that it mattered because a storm popped up while I was out.  Could have been worse, as the neighbors roofing their house got caught off guard too.  I glanced outside just in time to see people scrambling off the roof and insulation blowing everywhere.
