Thoughts on the Bailout

By jimrob | October 11, 2008

I’ve been thinking about this bailout thing lately. Aside from the common thoughts, such as our government selling us out, a waste of money, let them rot, and “gee, this fits in great with the rising of a Marxist politician in America,” I’ve had a few of my own.

What really happened here? Greed. People got greedy for money (is there any desire for money not fueled by greed?) and screwed the whole world. Now, I couldn’t care less what happens to the elites in our world; they’ll survive. Their cronie buddies at the bank will make sure they don’t suffer too much. What concerns me is the plight of the little guy who’s gonna lose his home and can’t afford to feed his children. That’s the guy that’s gonna get screwed. Who cares? Nobody, except for his fellow men in the soup line, that’s who.

What amazes me is that all of us are looking to the very people who caused this plight to fix it! I’m not talking about Barry or Johnnie, I’m talking about all of them. Republicans, Democrats, all the world leaders. They are the ones who caused this mess in the first place. They try to regulate finance in an unGodly, worldly way and look what happened. Their system built on sand and credit is turning into shambles. In a race to protect their lavish lifestyles, they’ve burdened me with thousands of dollars of debt. Thanks.

Now, don’t give me this “Hey, it’s for you” bullsh*t. It isn’t for me. They don’t care if I live or die, as long as when I’m gone there’s a wallet to replace me. The only concern business has for the common man in this world is how much they charge, and how much interest they pay on the account.

The Bible warns strongly against relying on credit. You don’t know today what will happen tomorrow. How do you know you can afford to pay the bill? You don’t - you’re just hoping you can. It’s bad enough when the common guy can’t repay his Mastercard bill - look what happens when the Mastercard people can’t pay their bill!

I read yesterday that the Italian Prime Minister has suggested that the world economy be “shut down” for a few days while they rethink how it all works. Excuse me? What gives you the right? Am I supposed to not engage in any financial transactions while you think of the next great humanistic method of managing my finances?

All this is predicted in The Bible, so it doesn’t surprise me. Revalations predicts a cashless society where purchases are closely controlled. A new world order of government where everything is watched, monitored, and nobody can get a thing without approval of the government.

Take the following for what it’s worth:

  • The world economy is crumbling.
  • People are proposing global aliances between governments, perhaps even a global currency.
  • Food shortages are becoming widespread.
  • Very odd weather is becoming commonplace.
  • The gospel is being preached around the world.
  • Wars, and rumors of wars.
  • A very popular political figure is oddly grasping the minds and souls of millions, despite having no proof of what he’s capable of. Many see him as a messiah figure.
  • I have my opinion on where this is all going, but I’m sure you can determine it without me coming right out and saying it.
