Wrong on SO many levels.

I was watching a bit of the GOP convention on C-SPAN tonight. (I was flipping between it and the Ron Paul thing.) In the most odd choice of music selection, AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” was used to introduce a speaker. Some female politician from Arizona… the mayor of Pheonix? I don’t recall.

Anyway, there’s just something wrong about seeing people at a GOP convention headbang and rock out. Especially older ladies in stereotypical red, white, and blue tophats adorned with convention buttons.

I wonder - did whoever picked the music know what that song is about? Here’s some lyrics, you guess what it’s about.

Went through to Texas, yeah Texas and we had some fun
We met some girls, some dancers who gave a good time
Broke all the rules, paid all the fools
They, They, They blew our minds

Need more help? Here’s a bit more:

I was shakin’ at the knees
Could I come again, please?
Yeah them ladies were too kind
You’ve been thunderstruck

Still not enough? Here’s a clue. The song is about B.J. and The Bear, except without The Bear. Figure it out.

I think some folks knew what it was about. A lot of people were standing around stonefaced in disbelief, while others (myself included, albeit not in person) were too busy laughing their asses off at a bunch of old women dancing to a song about getting head from a stripper.
