Warning: Alcohol-induced rant commencing in 3…2…1…

What is my idea of America? A place where I can buy a few acres of land, raise some food, and live independantly of everyone else. A place where I don’t have to worry about insurance, bills, or whatever else. (I’m not talking about legitimate debt, I’m talking about government-mandated debt in the form of required insurance, whatever.) A land where I can do what I want, when I want, with no zoning laws or neighbors to get in my way.
What happened? Was the lifestyle of rugged indepenance cast to the history books when American successfuly mastered the industrial age, or was it shoved aside by greedy people who seek to force others to turn over money via government mandate?
I have a right to live a free and peaceful life with no goverment interention. The government has no right to tell me I need car insurance or whatever else takes money out of my wallet.
Maybe it’s the eight ounces of carefuly-measured Smirnoff that I mixed with pureed strawberries talking, but I’m tired of having to work just to meet government requirements. I’m tired of internationalists who think they know better than God trying to force me to abide by what they think the world should be.
Screw ya’ll, I’m gonna go hide in the woods. Like the industrialists in Atlas Shrugged, I’m tired of your evil world-centered ways. You seek to force me into a lifestyle I don’t want; one of debt, servitude, and obidiance. That’s not the natural way of man. God wants us to live off the land, growing our food and living lives focused on him. Today’s society doesn’t care - it’s all a self-centered ego-centric mess focused on maximum monetary gain at the expense of friends, family, and sanity.
