Memo Justified Warantless Surveillance
Administration Claimed Immunity to 4th Amendment
I’m actually siding with the ACLU. The flippin’ ACLU. There is something seriously wrong with our current state of affairs when I’m agreeing with something said by the ACLU.
The whole 4th Amendment thing seems to be an opinion on a domestic military deployment, not a “peacetime” action. Meaning, if the military were deployed within America’s borders, they wouldn’t need to secure a warrant to enter your home.
That’s all well and good, you say. There’d have to be an invasion within the American borders to cause such a scenario, you state. Well there is. Terrorists have infiltrated our borders. Evil-doers of every sort pervade our country. You never know who they are. That ham radio operator across the street? He may be communicating with Al-Quaida. The little old lady down the road who never goes outside? Perhaps there’s something in her home she doesn’t want you to see. The guy down the street that likes to build stuff? How do you know he’s not building a bomb in his yard barn?
Thank GOD the government is here to protect international trade and domestic corporate interests all of us from the unknown. God bless America, land that I love. Spy on me, track my spending, and throw me in jail if I’m too smart for your use.
